Yeah we have got to this point again, where we have to date back to history cause there is this saying “without history the future cannot be traced”. Most people are very much concerned about things that happens presently only few out of a billion persons care to know the histories of some certain things, kids and even the elderly ones have focuses more on the present day musics thereby forgetting that there have been pre-existing songs before they where born.

We care this days about the present day music producers, but have we for ones try to think of producers of the 90s? I guess no, even most of us that where born in the 90s can’t even remember best music producers of the 90s.

Dupri was regarded as the baddest music producer of the 90s he is So So Def in house producer, deemed it fit for him to be on our list cause he has numerous list of beats that laid the tracks for so many songs that have ended up on our playlists over the years. Ranging from songs of Mariah Carey, Da Brat, Usher even destiny child if you listed to the 90s songs of this musicians you would notice Jermaine Dupri as the brain behind the beat.

According to Wikipedia Dupri was born September 23, 1972 in Asheville, North Carolina USA. He was raised in Atlanta, he is an American rapper, song writer, record producer and record executive

He started his musical/recording producer career since 1984 till present day. In 2006 his song was “won we belong together” won Best R&B Song of the year.

2. Babyface

Our number 2 best music producers of the 90s is Baby his real name is Kenneth Brian Edmonds, this record producer was ranked one of the best record producers of the 90s, not withstanding his tremendous musical beatz that inspires the soul.

According to Wikipedia Babyface whose real name is Kenneth Brian Edmonds was born on April 10, 1959 in Indianapolis, Indiana, United States. He is an American singer, songwriter and record producer.

Active since 1974 till present day, during his career he has successfully bagged a total number of 11 Grammy awards this is die to his hardworks as he has produced countless R&B records and has written and produced over 26 hit tracks.

3. Robert John ‘Mutt’ Lange

Robert is a South African record producer and songwriter, known for his multitrack recording work and making some of the greatest albums in music.

Among many others, he has produced albums for artists including Céline Dion, AC / DC, Britney Spears, Def Leppard, Foreigner, Michael Bolton, Bryan Adams, Billy Ocean, The Corrs, Maroon 5, Lady Gaga, Nickelback and Muse.

He and his former wife, Shania Twain, both wrote and recorded songs including her massive 1997 album, Come On Over

Most notably, he had a partnership with David Bowie that lasted from his 1968 single ‘In the Heat of the Morning’ to the 2016 album Blackstar.

He’s recorded countless albums including T Rex, Sparks, Iggy Pop, Sparks and Marc Almond classics.

5. OJB Jezreel

The 5th on our list is Ojb Jezreel Real name is Babatunde Okungbowa. The New Nigerian Sound King. The artist who was also named Jigga, impacted Nigerian music well beyond our shores, from his little studio in Surulere.

Despite being around since the late 1990s, OJB is most known for his work on the debut solo effort of 2face Idibia, Face 2 Face.

Created solely by him, OJB became one with the artist, selecting the right beats to match the skills of 2face. Later on he would create his own production label, PointBeatz, which gave birth to younger producers like JoeKaynie.

OJB also had six albums to its credit and died sadly from kidney failure on 14 June 2016.

Kicked the bucket on 14 June 2016, Oshodi/Isolo, Lagos after he suffered a kidney disease. May his soul rest in peace.
